axona AICHI exhibited at the Cologne international office furniture show “ORGATEC 2024” (22-25/OCT/2024) held in Cologne, Germany. This was the 7th consecutive participation since the 1st one in 2010 (the show in 2020 was canceled). This year’s show theme was "IDEAS FOR SUSTAINABILITY", and we exhibited a product lineup that combines innovative design and sustainability. Brand-new stacking chair [Gene], the stacking chair [Tipo] [X50], the stacking desk [Tipo-Board], and the prototype of the new flapping desk [SCM-800] which was designed based on the new concept were shown.
During the exhibition, following [Tipo] (2012), [X50] (2018) and [Tipo-Board] (2022), [Gene] won the AIT INNOVATION AWARD and was well received by visitors. [Gene] has been awarded GOOD DESIGN AWARD(2023/Japan), iF DESIGN AWARD (2024/Germany), GREEN GOOD DESIGN AWARD As awarded by the Chicago Athenaeum : Museum of Architecture and Design (2024/USA) and the Best of NeoCon (2024/USA).
